*** SHOULD I BUY A GLOSSY OR MATTE PHONE CASE? *** A matte phone case has a harder surface that does NOT reflect light. As a result, the design on the phone case is slightly more subdued than it would be on a glossy phone case. A matte finish also tends to be rougher to the touch than a glossy finish, but as a result it is not nearly as slippery in your hands over time. Small scratches are more easily hidden on a matte phone case and fingerprints will almost never appear on the case either. A glossy phone case DOES reflect light, and as a result, tends to bring out a phone case’s vibrant color. As a result, the design on a glossy phone case will shine much more than on a matte phone case and perhaps appear more appealing. The surface of a glossy phone case is much softer and “rubbery” than a matte phone case, which tends to make it more slippery than a matte phone case as it is prone to the sweat on your hands. Overall, there are advantages and disadvantages to both styles depending on the phone’s owner, so ultimately, it comes down to your personal preference!
